
Ropes were tied around the man and people clutched onto him in a desperate attempt to prevent him from falling into a busy main road.
Teetering on the edge of the footbridge in Golders Green, North London people were shocked when they saw a man attempting to jump off the bridge into the traffic below the passing by people immediately swung into action and gripped onto him tightly, refusing to let him go.
This event from 2017 is an amazing display of compassion and care humans have inbuilt for each other the passing by people who didn’t even know each other before the event teamed up and tried their level best to stop him from doing anything lethal.
Some wrapped their arms around his neck some even tied ropes around his torso and legs to secure his body to the railings and prevent him from jumping,one man appeared to be desperately gripping his belt, while another tightly held his legs and they held on for two hours.

“There were quite a few gasps and shocked faces, but a lot of people did not actually realize what was going on until it was pointed out to them,” reported eyewitness Nigel Howard.

Once the man was firmly secured, a hydraulic lift was used by firefighters to lower him to safety before he was put into an ambulance.
The North Circular Road was closed for several hours during the incident, reported the Mail Online .
later a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the man had been detained under the Mental Health Act.
